About Patrick Spang

Originally from Whitehall, Pennsylvania Patrick Spang has been teaching and coaching golf for over 22 years and is a Class A member of the PGA of America. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kutztown University and has developed extensive knowledge of the golf swing and communicating instruction to players of all ability levels by conducting individual lessons, golf schools/clinics, and junior programs.

In Patrick’s final year at KU he accepted an internship with the Orlando Magic, a professional basketball team in Florida. He quickly became the Video Scout with the coaching staff. He worked 11 seasons with the pinnacle of his tenure reaching the 1994-95 NBA Finals led by Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway.

Patrick knew his true passion was in golf and took the position as the Tournament Director at Forest Lake Golf Club, Ocoee, FL and then as the Head Golf Professional at Remmington Golf Club, Kissimmee, Fl. It is there where he established a reputation as an outstanding teacher with conducting one on one instruction and running numerous golf clinics. He returned to the Northeast in 2001 as the Head Golf Professional at Whitetail Golf Club in Bath, PA and then as the Head Teaching Professional at Olde Homestead Golf Club, New Tripoli, PA where he continued to develop as one of the top instructors in the Lehigh Valley.

Patrick Spang has been the Director of Instruction at the Manor Golf Academy and Head Golf Professional at the Manor Golf Club since 2013. Patrick has been involved with numerous junior programs for newcomers as well as competitive players. He has implemented a traditional approach with a focus on fundamentals using state-of-the-art technology for one on one instruction.
